Félix is building an AI-powered financial platform for Latin immigrants in the U.S. We are hiring a Staff Software Engineer (Platform Core) to own foundational services and infra, enabling scalable, reliable products as we grow.

You will lead architectural decisions, improve resilience, and mentor engineers in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes ownership, cross-team collaboration, and delivering high-availability systems on Google Cloud with Kubernetes and Terraform.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Expertise in backend technologies (Python/Go/Java) with REST/gRPC and SQL/NoSQL.
• Distributed systems principles, resilience, observability, and CI/CD.
• Experience on Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Terraform, with production systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build and optimize foundational microservices and infra.
• Improve system resilience, observability, incident response and recovery.
• Identify bottlenecks and ensure high availability during hyper-growth.
• Set architectural vision and align with cross-team API contracts and events.
• Mentor engineers and foster best practices in design and testing.
• Deliver production-ready features in a fast-paced, agile environment.
