Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer to join our team in Plano/Frisco, TX (Draper, UT | Columbus, OH | Chadds Ford, PA | Wilmington, DE | NYC/Manhattan options also considered). This contract-to-hire role focuses on backend-centric platform engineering with frontend exposure and AI-enabled development.

The right candidate will design scalable systems, build APIs/SDKs, automate releases, and drive SDLC improvements while leading architecture and technical decisions.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Solid backend development experience.
• Experience with multiple languages listed (Java, Python, Go, JS/TS).
• Experience building APIs, SDKs, reusable components or shared services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend and full-stack applications.
• Work across backend and frontend technologies with emphasis on backend engineering.
• Design and develop APIs, SDKs, reusable frameworks, shared services, and web components.
• Contribute to platform engineering and software architecture.
• Automate software releases and improve the SDLC.
• Drive improvements in engineering productivity and operational efficiency.
• Apply AI tools and AI-enabled engineering practices to development and automation.
• Collaborate on architecture, technical design, and engineering best practices.
• Work with Cloud technologies, preferably AWS; Azure or GCP acceptable.
• Implement and improve DevOps and CI/CD processes.
