Traba in New York is hiring for a platform-engineering leader to build the AI-enabled staffing stack that sources, vets, matches, and places workers across millions of shifts. You will shape the core backend and agent platform, partnering with our CTO on architectural decisions and long-term roadmap.

You will join the founding team, drive architecture decisions, and push for performance, reliability, and scalable systems in a fast-growing startup environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with TypeScript/Node.js or Python, PostgreSQL, and messaging systems.
• Proven track record shipping and leading large-scale projects.
• Experience building or integrating AI/LLM systems is a plus.
• Comfort with ambiguity in an early-stage environment.

Responsibilities

• Set the standard for applying agents across the stack to automate staffing.
• Architect and lead core systems—from real-time matching to vetting pipelines powered by ML and agents.
• Own architecture for the platform, thinking ahead to what the company will need.
• Drive backend performance, reliability, and scale.
