Centurion Health is seeking a Staff Physician to cover the Infirmary at Western Correctional Institution in Cumberland, Maryland. This full-time position offers a Monday to Friday day shift, along with a $25K sign-on bonus.

The physician will be responsible for medical assessments, treatment of chronic conditions, and collaboration with administrative staff to ensure appropriate medical services. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k) with match, and generous paid time off.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted MD/DO license or the ability to obtain one.
• Board Certified or Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or EM Primary Care.
• Current DEA and CDS registration.

Monday - Friday Day Shift $25K Sign-on Bonus

Responsibilities

• The Primary Care Physician provides medical assessments and evaluations, treatment for emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues, and supervises medical treatment for chronic medical conditions.
• Participates in organizational initiatives to prevent diseases and injuries in a correctional setting.
• Works under the direction of the Site Medical Director and/or the Statewide Medical Director and collaborates with the Health Services Administrator to ensure efficient and clinically appropriate medical services.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
• Active and unrestricted MD/DO license or the ability to obtain one.
• Board Certified or Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or EM Primary Care.
• Current DEA and CDS registration.
• Correctional Healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to pass credentialing and background check.
