Centurion Health is the provider of comprehensive health‑care services to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. We are currently seeking a Primary Care Physician to work in our Metropolitan Transition Center (MTC) in Baltimore, Maryland.

The Primary Care Physician provides medical assessments and evaluations, treats emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues, supervises chronic medical conditions, and participates in initiatives to prevent disease and injury in a correctional setting. The physician works under the direction of the Site Medical Director and/or the Statewide Medical Director and collaborates with the Health Services Administrator to ensure efficient and clinically appropriate services.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required
• Active and unrestricted MD/DO license, or ability to obtain one, required
• Board Certified/Eligible in FM/IM/EM Primary Care required
• Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and CDS registration required
• Correctional healthcare experience preferred, not required
• Ability to pass credentialing and background check required
