Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a PRN Staff Physician to deliver clinical services to the Maryland incarcerated population at Western Correctional Institution in Cumberland, MD. The Site Medical Director provides clinical direction and supervises medical services at the site, collaborating with onsite providers and nursing staff to ensure consistent patient care.

The role requires an MD or DO from an accredited medical school, an active MD/DO license, and board certification/eligibility in Family

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school is required.
• Active and unrestricted MD/DO license or the ability to obtain one is required.
• Board certification/eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine is required.
• DEA registration (active) or the ability to obtain one is required.
• Leadership experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical direction and direct patient care at Western Correctional Institution.
• Supervise medical services and evaluate care at the site.
• Lead or participate in Continuous Quality Improvement, Infection Control, and Pharmacy and Therapeutics committees.
• Collaborate with onsite providers and nursing staff to deliver care to incarcerated individuals.
