Job summary

Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care in Branford, CT is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine Physician to join our new Urgent Care center. This full-time Staff Physician role offers a salary range of $250,000.00 to $275,000.00 annually with a $15,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Located in Branford within the greater New Haven area, you will provide high-quality urgent care and lead patient-centered services within Yale-affiliated care.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine.
• Active State Medical License required.
• Controlled Substance Registration.
• ACLS and PALS certification.
• Experience performing routine urgent care procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based urgent care to patients.
• Perform common urgent care procedures (laceration repair, drainage, foreign body removal, splinting, ortho care).
• Collaborate with Advanced Practitioners, radiology, and staff to ensure high-quality care.
• Lead and contribute to quality improvement and patient-centered initiatives.
• Support community access to care and patient experience in Branford, CT.

Your Role as a Staff Physician

Provide high-quality, evidence-based care for patients presenting with a wide range of urgent and episodic healthcare needs.

Procedural Expertise

Perform common urgent care procedures including laceration repair, incision and drainage, foreign body removal, splinting, and management of orthopedic-related conditions.

Clinical Leadership

Serve as a trusted clinical resource within the center while partnering with providers and team members to ensure exceptional patient outcomes and experiences.

Community Impact

Help improve access to high-quality healthcare by delivering convenient, compassionate care to patients and families throughout the Greater New Haven region.

What We're Looking For

• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
• Active State Medical License
• Controlled Substance Registration
• ACLS and PALS Certification
• Demonstrated experience performing routine urgent care procedures
• Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, family medicine, or related clinical experience preferred
• Commitment to patient-centered care, teamwork, and clinical excellence
