Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care Branford is seeking a Staff Physician to provide urgent care in a newly established Branford center. The role emphasizes clinical leadership, teamwork, and delivering high-quality patient care in a Yale-affiliated system.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine.
• Active medical license in the United States and DEA registration.
• ACLS and PALS certification are required or readily obtainable.
• Experience delivering urgent care and episodic care.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality urgent care for a broad range of conditions.
• Perform common urgent care procedures such as laceration repair and wound care.
• Collaborate with Advanced Practitioners and staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
• Contribute to a growing, Yale-affiliated urgent care culture.

Your Role as a Staff Physician

Patient Care Excellence

Provide high-quality, evidence-based care for patients presenting with a wide range of urgent and episodic healthcare needs.

Procedural Expertise

Perform common urgent care procedures including laceration repair, incision and drainage, foreign body removal, splinting, and management of orthopedic-related conditions.

Clinical Leadership

Serve as a trusted clinical resource within the center while partnering with providers and team members to ensure exceptional patient outcomes and experiences.

Community Impact

Help improve access to high-quality healthcare by delivering convenient, compassionate care to patients and families throughout the Greater New Haven region.

What We're Looking For

• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
• Active State Medical License
• Controlled Substance Registration
• Federal DEA Registration
• ACLS and PALS Certification
• Demonstrated experience performing routine urgent care procedures
• Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, family medicine, or related clinical experience preferred
• Commitment to patient-centered care, teamwork, and clinical excellence
