Job summary

Medical City Denton is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for PRN mixed shifts. Under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, you will process and dispense medication and IV orders, provide routine clinical services and drug information, and participate in patient and staff education.

Qualifications include Texas licensure, APCE IV certification, hospital pharmacy experience preferred, and a Bachelor\'s degree. This PRN role offers flexible scheduling within a leading healthcare network.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Under the general supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, processes and dispenses medication/IV orders, provides routine clinical services and drug information, assists in performance improvement activities, supervises the activities of pharmacy technicians, participates in patient/staff education, and performs related duties as assigned.

Special Skills and Qualifications

Clinical skills in kinetic dosing; antibiotic recommendations, and patient medication review preferred.

Understands that failure to follow established SOP’s for hazardous drugs could potentially lead to risk of adverse effects which may include but not limited to skin rashes, reproductive effects, chronic effects, and cancer.
