Job summary

CVS Health in Fair Lawn, NJ is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to lead dispensing, patient counseling, and immunization services in our retail pharmacy. You will act as a role model for the pharmacy team, ensure compliance with regulations, and maintain high standards of patient care and safety.

Responsibilities include supervising bench shifts, improving performance measures, helping manage inventory, and delivering clinical care such as vaccinations where permissible.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Living CVS Health purpose by safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
• Oversee pharmacy operations as proxy during shifts and coach team to improve performance.
• Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty.
• Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflows and safety guardrails.
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and authentic care and resolving insurance/medication issues.
• Proactively offer and deliver immunizations and support technicians to learn immunization.
• Support inventory management with focus on protecting cold chain products.
• Partner with Pharmacy Manager to ensure compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs while maintaining safety and inclusion.
• Maintain clinical and technical skills via trainings and CMEs to support patient care.
