Job summary

Piedmont Newnan Hospital is seeking an Evening Staff Pharmacist to join our hospital team. You will be responsible for distribution, compounding, dispensing, and monitoring of medications for diverse patient populations during evening hours.

Supervisory duties include overseeing pharmacy technicians and ensuring accurate medication therapy across age groups. The ideal candidate is a PharmD with an ACPE-accredited education, licensed to practice in Georgia, and committed to ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor's or higher in Pharmacy.
• PHARMD - Licensed Pharmacist; licensed as a registered pharmacist in the state of Georgia upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff.
• Responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients including dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states associated with age groups.
• Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel.
• Performs patient focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.
