Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to lead patient care within our Lowell, MA retail pharmacy. The role emphasizes safe dispensing, patient counseling, immunizations, and collaboration with the Pharmacy Manager to drive team performance.

You will supervise the pharmacy team on bench shifts, ensure accurate prescription processing, and help manage inventory while maintaining compliance with all regulations. A strong patient-first mindset and clinical engagement are essential.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI) required.
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
• Overseeing the pharmacy as proxy during shifts and coaching the team to improve performance
• Assumes Pharmacy Manager duties when serving as the primary pharmacist-on-duty
• Ensuring safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following workflow procedures and safety guidelines
• Delivering immunizations and supporting the pharmacy team in learning to immunize
• Managing pharmacy inventory with focus on cold chain protection
• Ensuring compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations and CVS policies
• Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and engaging team environment
• Engaging in pharmacist-delivered clinical care where permissible; expanding knowledge through CMEs
