Job summary

Walgreens in Hampton, VA seeks a pharmacist to join our team. You will provide compassionate, expert-level pharmacy consulting to patients and educate them on medication usage, side effects, and cost-saving options.

You will deliver immunizations and other clinical services, ensure medication safety and regulatory compliance, and mentor pharmacy staff in a collaborative environment. We value growth, training, and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or equivalent pharmacist degree from an accredited institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district of employment.
• Certified Immunizer or willingness to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: at least one year of experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert-level pharmacy consulting services to patients.
• Educate and consult patients on medication usage, side effects, and cost-effective options.
• Deliver clinical healthcare services such as immunizations, diagnostic testing, and medication therapy management.
• Ensure medication safety through accurate compounding, dispensing, and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor and train pharmacy team members in a collaborative and supportive environment.
