Our Staff Pharmacists play a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence in their pharmacy by acting as role models, demonstrating genuine care, and setting high standards for the pharmacy team. As a Staff Pharmacist, you support the Pharmacy Manager in leading and overseeing all aspects of the pharmacy's operations. Your responsibilities include:

1. Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizations.
2. Supporting the Pharmacy Manager by overseeing pharmacy operations during shifts, coaching team members, and providing performance feedback.
3. Assuming the Pharmacy Manager’s duties when serving as the primary pharmacist on duty.
4. Supporting safe prescription fulfillment by following workflow procedures and safety protocols.
5. Enhancing patient experiences through compassionate care, collaboration with healthcare teams, and resolving medication or insurance issues.
6. Offering and administering immunizations and supporting pharmacy technicians in immunization delivery.
7. Managing pharmacy inventory effectively, with special attention to cold chain products.
8. Ensuring compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and CVS policies, escalating issues as needed.
9. Remaining adaptable to scheduling and business needs, including assisting with the pharmacy schedule.
10. Maintaining clinical and technical skills, seeking opportunities for professional development.
11. Supporting clinical services like testing and prescribing where permitted, to improve patient outcomes.
12. Adhering to all relevant legal, regulatory, and ethical standards to ensure patient safety and a respectful workplace.
