Our Staff Pharmacists play a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence in their pharmacy by acting as a role model for all, demonstrating genuine care, and setting the bar for the pharmacy team. As a Staff Pharmacist, you support the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing the pharmacy team, and are accountable for managing all aspects within your pharmacy.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Living our purpose: managing and improving patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizations.
2. Supporting pharmacy operations: taking direction from the Pharmacy Manager, overseeing pharmacy during shifts, coaching team members, and providing performance feedback.
3. Ensuring safety and accuracy: following pharmacy workflow procedures, utilizing safety guardrails, and supporting safe prescription fulfillment.
4. Enhancing patient experience: showing empathy, coaching the team in compassionate care, and resolving insurance/medication issues.
5. Immunizations: proactively offering and delivering immunizations, supporting team learning.
6. Inventory management: following best practices, protecting cold chain products.
7. Compliance: ensuring operations meet state Board of Pharmacy regulations, escalating issues as needed.
8. Flexibility and teamwork: supporting scheduling, maintaining a positive team environment.
9. Professional development: maintaining clinical skills, seeking knowledge expansion.
10. Clinical care: supporting services like testing and prescribing (where permissible).
11. Regulatory adherence: complying with laws, regulations, policies, and safeguarding patient privacy.
