Our Staff Pharmacists play a critical role in:

• Cultivating a culture of excellence in their pharmacy by acting as a role model, demonstrating genuine care, and setting the bar for the pharmacy team.
• Supporting the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing the pharmacy team.
• Managing, overseeing, and operating all aspects within the pharmacy.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
2. Taking direction from the Pharmacy Manager and overseeing the pharmacy during bench shifts, including coaching and providing feedback to team members.
3. Assuming Pharmacy Manager’s duties when serving as the primary pharmacist-on-duty.
4. Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment and following pharmacy workflow procedures.
5. Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, collaborating with healthcare teams, and resolving insurance or medication issues.
6. Proactively offering and delivering immunizations, supporting pharmacy technicians in immunization training.
7. Managing pharmacy inventory effectively, with focus on cold chain products.
8. Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, escalating issues as needed.
9. Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs, supporting a safe, inclusive, and engaging team environment.
10. Maintaining clinical and technical skills, seeking opportunities to expand knowledge.
11. Supporting access to care through clinical services like testing and prescribing, where permissible.
12. Adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, standards, and policies to ensure patient safety, privacy, and a safe workplace.
