Job summary

Geriscript Pharmacy is seeking a motivated Staff Pharmacist (Full-time) to join our team at a closed-door LTC facility in New Jersey. You will dispense and evaluate medications and provide drug information. NJ license required with 1–2 years’ pharmacy experience (LTC preferred).

Strong analytical and communication skills, and attention to detail are essential. Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday–Friday 2:30 PM–11:00 PM and every third weekend 9:30 AM–6:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Licensed in New Jersey.
• 1-2 year previous experience in pharmacy (preferably LTC setting).
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Dispense and evaluate prescribed medications.

• Proactively review prescriptions for proper dosage

Geriscript Pharmacy is set in a closed-door environment servicing nursing facilities.

Pharmacist must assist the Director of pharmacy in coordinating and implementing activities of the Pharmacy.

Pharmacist must interpret medication orders, compounds and dispense medication and other pharmaceutical preparations in accordance with the legal, ethical and professional standards of pharmacy practice.
