Job summary

SpecialtyRx is seeking a Licensed Pharmacist to join their New Jersey team. The successful candidate will evaluate medication orders, ensure proper labeling, and communicate with nursing staff and healthcare professionals. A valid NJ Pharmacist license is mandatory, with preference given to those with Long Term Care experience. This full-time position operates 2nd shift from 4:00 PM until closing, and requires strong analytical, critical thinking, and multitasking skills.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist license with NJ Board of Pharmacy is required.
• Previous experience in Long Term Care is preferred.
• Must be able to work independently and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug and dosage.
• Ensure prepared medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team regarding medications.
• Supervise the preparation of medicines.
• Work 2nd shift hours Monday to Friday with rotating weekends.

Job description

We are looking for a Licensed Pharmacist to join our New Jersey team!

License Pharmacist Responsibilities:

• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and proper administration.
• Ensure that dispensed medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
• Communicate with facilities’ nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members in regard to medication-related queries.
• Supervise the preparation of any medicines.

License Pharmacist Requirements:

• Active Pharmacist with NJ Board of Pharmacy a must.
• Previous experience in Long Term Care is preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently.
• Must be multi-tasking and reliable.
• Computer literate, knowledge of Frameworks LTC system, PLUS.

Full Time-Hours: 4:00pm-Closing (Monday through Friday/rotating weekends) (2nd Shift Differential).
