Job summary

Geriscript Pharmacy, a closed-door facility serving nursing homes in New Jersey, seeks a licensed pharmacist to dispense and evaluate medications and to advise clinicians on interactions and side effects.

You will interpret orders, compound and dispense medications, and supervise records while ensuring compliance with professional standards and policies.

The role supports the Director of Pharmacy in coordinating activities and upholding quality patient care at a long-term care-focused pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Licensed in New Jersey.
• 1-2 year previous experience in pharmacy (preferably LTC setting).
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Dispense and evaluate prescribed medications.

Geriscript Pharmacy is set in a closed-door environment servicing nursing facilities.

Pharmacist must assist the Director of pharmacy in coordinating and implementing activities of the Pharmacy.

Pharmacist must interpret medication orders, compounds and dispense medication and other pharmaceutical preparations in accordance with the legal, ethical and professional standards of pharmacy practice.

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM and every third weekend 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM

Education:

• Doctorate (Preferred)

Experience:

• Pharmacy Residency: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Licensed Pharmacist (Required)
