Job summary

Geriscript Pharmacy is seeking a motivated Staff Pharmacist (Full-time) to join our team at a closed-door LTC facility in New Jersey. You will dispense and evaluate medications and provide drug information. NJ license required with 1–2 years’ pharmacy experience (LTC preferred).

Strong analytical and communication skills, and attention to detail are essential. Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday–Friday 2:30 PM–11:00 PM and every third weekend 9:30 AM–6:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Licensed in New Jersey.
• 1-2 year previous experience in pharmacy (preferably LTC setting).
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Dispense and evaluate prescribed medications.
• Advise physicians and health practitioners on interactions and side effects of medications.
• Provide patients and nurses with pertinent drug information.
• Proactively review prescriptions for proper dosage.
• Supervise and maintain records of all medications, including narcotics.
• Enforce all company and departmental policies and procedures.
• Coordinate and implement activities of the Pharmacy with the Director.
• Interpret medication orders, compounds and dispense medication and other pharmaceutical preparations.
