Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital, part of Piedmont Healthcare, is seeking a full-time pharmacist at our Fayetteville, GA location. The role includes distribution, compounding, dispensing, and monitoring medications across infant to geriatric patients.

You will supervise technicians and engage in patient-focused clinical activities to ensure optimal therapy outcomes. Qualifications include a ACPE-accredited Bachelor's in Pharmacy and Georgia licensure; hospital pharmacy experience is preferred to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy.
• Georgia pharmacist license required.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Distribute, document and compound medications and related equipment for patients and staff.
• Review, compound, dispense and monitor medication therapy across age groups including dosing variations and nutrition.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure competency and ongoing professional development.
• Provide patient-focused clinical activities and optimize medication therapy hospital-wide.

The holiday schedule is rotating one major and the next year one minor

Responsibilities:

Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. Responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients which includes dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states associated with the various age groups. Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel. Assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice. Performs patient focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital, to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.

Qualifications:

Education

• Bachelor's Degree Graduate of an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor's or higher in Pharmacy Required

Work Experience

• NA Required
• Hospital pharmacy experience Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Licensed as a registered pharmacist in the state of Georgia Required
