Job summary

Piedmont Macon North is seeking a Pharmacist for a full-time evening shift (40 hours per week) with occasional weekends. The role involves distribution, documentation and compounding of medications to meet patient needs across all age groups, in a hospital setting.

Qualifications include a degree from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy and Georgia licensure upon hire. Hospital pharmacy experience is preferred, with no experience required. This position is located in Macon, GA.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. Responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients which includes dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states associated with the various age groups. Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel. Assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice. Performs patient focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital, to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.
