In this frontline role, you will provide direct support to patients, caregivers, and healthcare partners nationwide—ensuring safe, timely, and affordable access to medications through our mail-order and community pharmacy services.

This position plays a critical part in our efforts to reduce barriers to health, especially for people living with chronic conditions or navigating financial hardship. The ideal candidate thrives in a service-oriented environment, communicates with empathy, and values teamwork and innovation. This role also requires the flexibility to occasionally support our Dellwood Community Pharmacy location in Dellwood, MO.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Dispense medications in accordance with all state and federal regulatory requirements and Rx Outreach protocols.
  • Review prescriptions for accuracy, clinical appropriateness, and potential drug interactions.

  • Track order status, resolve discrepancies, and provide timely updates to patients and care teams.
  • Deliver consultative support to patients with professionalism and empathy.

Primary Duties

  • Support daily pharmacy operations, including supervising and verifying technician work.
  • Maintain awareness of each state’s pharmacy regulations and licensing requirements.
  • Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications, lost orders, or potential errors in a timely and solutions-oriented manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure quality assurance, workflow efficiency, and positive patient outcomes.
  • Uphold daily performance benchmarks in production, accuracy, and service.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Provide on-the-floor guidance, mentorship, and quality assurance oversight to pharmacy technicians and operations staff.
  • Split between professional office space and a climate-controlled pharmacy warehouse setting.
  • Uses standard office equipment and pharmacy automation tools (e.g., scanners, packaging machines).

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
  • Able to repetitively lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Must be comfortable using ladders and accessing shelving at heights.

Position Type / Schedule

  • Full-time position.
  • Monday through Saturday availability required; may rotate between mail-order and community pharmacy settings based on organizational need.

Travel

  • Minimal; local travel may be required occasionally for team support or training.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy (RPh or PharmD)
  • 2–3 years of professional experience in a pharmacy setting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to serving underserved and vulnerable patient populations
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and collaborate across departments
  • Familiarity with state/federal dispensing laws and insurance processes
