Job summary

Meijer Pharmacy in Springfield, OH is seeking a pharmacist to deliver high-quality patient care and education. The role emphasizes accurate prescription filling, clinical guidance, and leadership within a retail setting.

You will educate technicians, maintain compliance with Meijer policies and state/federal laws, and participate in clinical services such as immunizations where permitted. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist must hold a BS or PharmD degree.
• Licensed and registered to practice in the state.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• CPR certification.
• Retail/community pharmacy experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Educate and mentor technicians to be effective team members.
• Oversee pharmacy operations in the absence of the pharmacist in charge.
• Perform and oversee immunization services where allowed.

What You'll Be Doing

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable for results in an appropriate and effective manner and have a vision to expand and grow the pharmacy business.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Competent and knowledgeable of Meijer Policies and Procedures, as well as state and federal laws.
• Effective communication skills and agent of change.
• Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
• Listen to the patient and resolve patient’s needs, customer service.
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, will be responsible for the pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee (where allowed) clinical services including immunizations.
