Summary: Full-time, 40 hours, day shift with varied days and hours. Responsibilities include compounding and dispensing prescribed drugs, consulting with medical staff on drug interactions and patient history, responding to patient questions, maintaining pharmacy data, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Required Education: Doctorate of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy (if obtained prior to 2000)
Recommended Education: Doctorate
Work Experience: No experience required; preferred experience varies.
Certifications: Pharmacist license from Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy; Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialties preferred.
Key responsibilities include verifying drug doses, identifying and intervening in drug therapy issues, ensuring appropriate medication selection, evaluating non-formulary drugs, and ensuring medication accuracy and quality. The pharmacist will also participate in patient education, drug information activities, inventory management, and other duties as assigned.
