Desired Previous Job Experience:
- At least 1 year of retail experience
- Proficiency in a second language (speaking, reading, and/or writing)
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or PharmD
- Current state pharmacist licensure in good standing
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written
- Basic math skills (counting, addition, and subtraction)
- Ability to handle stressful situations effectively
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain a professional, clean, and organized work environment to uphold a positive department image.
- Provide excellent customer service, demonstrating friendliness, professionalism, and cooperativeness.
- Adhere to scheduled shift hours and punctuality.
- Fulfilling prescription needs accurately, providing patient counseling and pharmaceutical care, including clinical activities.
- Utilize RX computer systems efficiently for prescriptions, clinical interventions, and progress reviews.
- Comply with all relevant laws and regulations, including HIPAA, DEA, and fraud prevention policies.
- Monitor inventory, manage equipment, and work towards budget goals.
- Implement and uphold company policies related to security, sanitation, and recalls.
- Follow quality assurance protocols, ensuring safety and accuracy, and address unsafe conditions.
- Maintain all necessary records for legal compliance, company policies, and reporting requirements.
- Keep policy manuals, reference materials, and legal documents organized and accessible.
- Ensure all signage and legal notices are properly displayed.
- Develop knowledge of the local trade area, customers, and competitors.
- Stay updated on current and upcoming promotional activities to boost sales.
- Continuously expand personal knowledge and pharmacy skills.
- Perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
