Desired Previous Job Experience:
- 1 year of retail experience
- Proficiency in a second language (speaking, reading, and/or writing)
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or PharmD
- Current state pharmacist licensure in good standing
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
- Ability to handle stressful situations
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain a professional, clean, and organized work environment to uphold a positive department image.
- Provide excellent service, demonstrating professionalism, friendliness, and cooperativeness with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
- Adhere to scheduled hours, arriving punctually and meeting shift requirements.
- Accurately fulfill customer prescriptions, ensuring precision in every transaction.
- Offer patient counseling and pharmaceutical care, including clinical activities.
- Use RX computer systems efficiently for prescription processing, clinical interventions, and progress reviews.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including HIPAA, Fraud, Waste, and Abuse, and DEA procedures.
- Monitor inventory, schedule, and equipment operation to meet budget goals.
- Maintain security, sanitation, and recall policies and procedures.
- Follow quality assurance protocols, ensuring safety and accuracy, and address unsafe conditions.
- Keep accurate records for legal compliance, company policies, and reporting requirements.
- Organize policy manuals, reference materials, and equipment, ensuring staff familiarity.
- Display necessary signage for legal compliance and customer information.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the local trade area, customers, and competitors.
- Stay informed about current and upcoming promotions to boost sales.
- Continuously expand personal knowledge and pharmacy skills.
- Perform all essential functions of this role with or without reasonable accommodation.
