Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Staff SSD Hardware PCIe Engineer to lead PCIe bring-up, validation, and debugging for SSD controller SoCs.

You will develop hardware and system specifications from requirements and collaborate across Architecture, Build, Verification, Firmware, and Product Engineering teams. You will evaluate PCIe IP solutions, work with third-party vendors, and build comprehensive validation methodologies and automated test suites to ensure protocol compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer/Electronics Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in hardware development, silicon validation, or PCIe subsystem engineering.
• Strong knowledge of PCIe Gen4/5/6 and PCIe LTSSM.
• Proficient in Python, TCL, and C; experience with high-speed test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop hardware and system specifications from requirements.
• Lead PCIe bring-up, validation, and debugging for SSD controller SoCs.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Build, Verification, Firmware, and Product Engineering.
• Evaluate, integrate, and support PCIe IP solutions from vendors.
• Develop system-level validation environments and automated test suites for PCIe validation and compliance.
• Create validation plans and perform root-cause investigations.
