Job summary

Micron Technology seeks a seasoned SSD Hardware Engineer in Colorado to lead hardware development across the product lifecycle, from design to production support. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure performance, quality, and manufacturability of next-generation storage solutions.

Your role will include SI/PI analysis, high-speed measurements in 20-35 GHz ranges, and mentoring engineers while promoting AI-driven tooling to boost productivity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5+ years hardware design experience in SSD/storage/high-performance computing
  • Strong expertise in high-speed hardware design, transmission line theory, SI/PI, and PCB development
  • Hands-on experience with board bring-up, debugging, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, schematic review, and laboratory validation
  • Experience with PCIe technologies, compliance testing methodologies, and high-speed signal measurements in the 20-35 GHz range
  • Demonstrated ability to lead engineering projects and communicate effectively across teams

Responsibilities

  • Lead SSD hardware development activities across the product lifecycle from design to production support
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver hardware solutions meeting performance and manufacturability goals
  • Perform signal integrity and power integrity analysis, simulation, validation, and debugging for high-speed interfaces
  • Drive board bring-up, hardware debugging, root cause analysis, and investigations throughout development and qualification
  • Mentor engineers and promote the use of AI tools and automation to improve productivity and debugging efficiency
