Job summary

Ashurst Perkins Coie US LLP is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Paralegal to support the Professional Standards group across corporate compliance, records, and attorney licensing. You will partner with internal teams and external partners to ensure strong governance and regulatory alignment in a deadline-driven environment.

The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple jurisdictions while supporting integration across merged practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
  • Four or more years of experience in paralegal, corporate legal support, compliance, or professional responsibility roles.
  • Law firm experience preferred, especially in professional standards, risk management, or corporate legal settings.
  • Knowledge of corporate entity maintenance, registered agents, annual filings, and foreign qualifications.
  • Familiarity with attorney licensing requirements and bar admission processes.
  • Experience with compliance tracking, entity management systems, or legal technology platforms such as IntApp is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and strong technical aptitude.

Responsibilities

  • Support corporate entity maintenance and compliance activities across U.S. and international jurisdictions.
  • Manage filing requirements, deadlines, registered agent coordination, and corporate records to maintain entity good standing.
  • Prepare and maintain corporate documents, including formation records, resolutions, amendments, and governance materials.
  • Conduct corporate research, due diligence, and compliance reviews to support firm initiatives and transactions.
  • Support attorney departure processes by coordinating compliance activities across internal teams and maintaining confidential records.
  • Manage attorney licensing, including renewals, registrations, reporting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare compliance reports and provide accurate information to support the firm's internal legal team and firm leadership.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies to maintain accurate records and resolve compliance matters.
