Job summary

Family Guidance Centers, Inc. (FGC) is seeking a Staff Nurse to support patients in medication assisted and drug free treatment programs.

The role processes patients from assessment to discharge, dispenses medications, and monitors health status in a behavioral health setting in Illinois. Starting pay is $30.00 per hour with a schedule of 6:45 am to 3:15 pm five days a week, and Saturday shifts every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Two years post degree experience in hospital or agency setting.
• Good communication skills.
• General basic nursing and medical terminology knowledge.
• Knowledge of substance abuse pathology.
• Knowledge of state and federal rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Processes patients from assessment to discharge in both medications assisted treatment and drug free treatment programming.
• Dispenses all medication under procedures set forth by Family Guidance Center, Substance Use Prevention and Recovery, Clinical Sustainability Assessment Tool and the Drug Enforcement Administration
• Monitors the appropriateness of methadone and medication dosages.
• Monitors the physical & mental health well-being of patients and documents findings.
• Must be available to travel if needed

Schedule: 6:45 am - 3:15 pm five days a week (days vary) Sat 7:15 am to 10:15 am every other weekend

Required Experience

Education and/or Experience
