Family Guidance Centers, Inc. is seeking an entry level Community Outreach Specialist for the South Loop area of Chicago to help connect individuals to substance use treatment services. The role involves outreach to community partners, shelters, hospitals, and faith-based groups as well as liaising to access care.
Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with an ASAP start and location at 2630 S. Wabash Ave., Chicago, IL. Pay is $20.00-$21.00 per hour.

Family Guidance Centers, Inc. is a substance use treatmentorganization offering comprehensive behavioral health programs,including medication-assisted recovery, to individuals with substanceuse disorders (SUDs) and co-occurring mental health conditions. Withover 25 years of experience and multiple locations across the state,we provide a full continuum of care for substance use disorder, fromprevention and harm reduction to treatment and recovery support. Ourprograms integrate FDA-approved medications for the treatment ofsubstance use disorders, including all three medications approved totreat opioid use disorder (buprenorphine, methadone, and naltrexone).We strive to meet our patients where they are, bringing care outsideclinic walls via telehealth and mobile services and ensuring patientshave access to harm reduction resources and education.

In the course of regular program operations, FGC outreach staffmay be asked to utilize their own vehicles to transport themselvesto and from outreach locations. In these cases, it is helpful butnot necessary for staff to have access to their own vehicle.Candidates will never be disqualified from a position because theydo not have a license, insurance, or personal vehicle. Programs willwork with each staff member individually to ensure that they areable to travel to and from work locations safely and effectively.
