Job summary

Hennepin Healthcare in Minneapolis is seeking a Staff Nurse to join the Ambulatory Float Pool. This is a full-time, weekday position with travel to off-campus clinics as needed.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and hold a Minnesota RN license. Driving to offsite clinics within an hour and access to an insured vehicle are required. BSN preferred and ambulatory care experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Possession of a valid RN license in Minnesota.
• Must have a valid driver's license and the availability of an insured vehicle or demonstrate ability to travel to offsite clinics during the work shift within a one-hour timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health
• Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care
• Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response
• Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others
• Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care
• Educating patient on their disease process
• Assuring continuity of care
• Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being
• Must have a valid driver’s license and the availability of an insured vehicle or demonstrate ability to travel to offsite clinics during the work shift within a one-hour timeframe.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in area of clinical specialty
• BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.

If you are not currently in an Ambulatory department, you would be subject to the Ambulatory pay scale.
