Registered Nurse, Float
The RN Float position provides direct professional nursing care for patients admitted to the hospital as well as in the hospital outpatient departments by utilizing nursing knowledge and critical thinking skills. Performs technical nursing functions, utilizes the nursing process to assess patient status, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care. Ensures a therapeutic and safe environment for patients and families within the guidelines and policies of the department and the philosophy of the organization. This position provides age-specific and developmentally appropriate care for neonate, adolescent, and adult and geriatric patients.

Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on experience, educationand internal equity considerations. The hourly wage range for this position is: RN ASN, $42.70—$60.28; RN BSN, $44.41—$62.69; RN MSN, $46.18—$65.20. These ranges reflect the base rate for this position.
Patient assessment
Assesses patient’s condition based upon observation, examination, and / or interview, laboratory findings, and other pertinent information.
Completes assessment in specified time frame.
Identifies and consistently recognizes changes in normal and abnormal parameters in the patient’s physiological and psychological condition.
48 hours per two-week pay period (0.6 FTE)
7:00pm-7:30am
Every third weekend and every third holiday
Eligible for Shift Differential Pay in addition to base wage
