Job summary

MCR Health is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses to join our team across the Lawton Chiles, South Manatee, George Van Buren, and West Manatee clinics in Bradenton, FL. You will perform vital sign collection, patient interviews, and triage under the direction of the Charge Nurse.

The role requires an active LPN license in Florida, CPR certification, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while delivering exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• HS/GED required.
• Current LPN license in good standing with Florida Board of Nursing.
• 1+ years of clinical experience in ambulatory care setting preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
• Must be flexible, resourceful, and able to troubleshoot.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and set priorities.
• Pride in the job and image presented to patients and visitors.
• A positive can-do attitude.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide vital signs, interview patients and families, and document observations.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs.
• Maintain positive, effective communication with providers, supervisors, peers, and subordinates.
• Oversee the patient triage process by CNAs/Phlebotomists/Medical Assistants.
• Ensure providers’ orders are directed to appropriate departments.
• Assist providers during exams and procedures as requested.
• Complete authorizations and referrals for patients in a timely manner.
• Assist with walk-in triage and interventions under Charge Nurse supervision.

As part of this role, you will

• Responsible for providing vital signs, interviewing the patient/family, and charting.
• Collaborates with health care providers in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the needs of patients and peers
• Maintains positive, effective communication with providers, supervisors, peers, and subordinates.
• Oversees the patient triage process by Certified Nursing Assistants/Phlebotomist and Medical Assistants.
• Ensures providers’ orders are directed to the various appropriate departments
• Knowledgeable / Assists providers as requested with exams, procedures, removal of sutures, etc.
• Completes authorizations and referrals for patients in a timely manner
• Knowledgeable in walk-in triage and interventions regarding patients aged under the leadership of the Charge Nurse

Requirements

• Current LPN license in good standing with the Florida Board of Nursing
• 1+ years of clinical experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred

Summary

This individual assures that services are administered utilizing professional standards with a strong focus on quality, timely care, and exceptional customer service under the direction of the medical provider. Assist in the maintenance of an environment conducive to the health, training, and well-being of peers and patients. This individual may have to float to sites as needed at the direction of the Department Head or designee.
