Job summary

MCR Health, Inc. in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Staff LPN to join the George Van Buren Pediatric team. This position supports patient assessments, triage, and care coordination in an ambulatory setting.

You will work with providers and licensed staff to ensure timely care, accurate charting, and smooth patient flow. A positive attitude and bilingual skills are a plus in a busy pediatric practice.

Qualifications

• HS/GED required.
• Current LPN license in good standing with the Florida Board of Nursing.
• 1+ years of clinical experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
• Must be flexible, resourceful, and able to troubleshoot.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and set priorities.
• Pride in the job you do and the image you present to our patients & visitors.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide vital signs, interview patient/family, and charting.
• Collaborate with health care providers in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs.
• Maintain positive, effective communication with providers, supervisors, peers, and subordinates.
• Oversee patient triage by CNAs/Phlebotomists/Medical Assistants.
• Ensure providers’ orders are directed to appropriate departments.
• Assist providers as requested with exams, procedures, sutures, etc.
• Complete authorizations and referrals timely.
• Support walk-in triage and interventions for patients under Charge Nurse supervision.

As part of this role, you will

• Responsible for providing vital signs, interviewing the patient/family, and charting.
• Collaborates with health care providers in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the needs of patients and peers
• Maintains positive, effective communication with providers, supervisors, peers, and subordinates.
• Oversees the patient triage process by Certified Nursing Assistants/Phlebotomist and Medical Assistants.
• Ensures providers’ orders are directed to the various appropriate departments
• Knowledgeable / Assist providers as requested with exams, procedures, removal of sutures, etc.
• Completes authorizations and referrals for patients in a timely manner
• Knowledgeable in walk-in triage and interventions regarding patients aged under the leadership of the Charge Nurse

Requirements

Summary

This individual assures that services are administered utilizing professional standards with a strong focus on quality, timely care, and exceptional customer service under the direction of the medical provider. Assist in the maintenance of an environment conducive to the health, training, and well-being of peers and patients. This individual may have to float to sites as needed at the direction of the Department Head or designee.
