Job summary

The RN will provide direct patient care, document patient information, and coordinate with the care team to ensure timely, quality service. Ideal candidates have a nursing degree from an accredited program and at least one year of professional nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license in good standing.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 1 year professional nursing experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required for Cardio Department only.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, interview patients and families, and document findings.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs.
• Maintain clear, positive communication with providers, supervisors, and peers.
• Ensure provider orders reach the appropriate departments.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and suture removal as needed.
• Process medication and DME authorizations for patients promptly.

Work Locations: Bradenton, FL

As Part Of This Role, You Will

• Adheres to the time and attendance policy as written in the employee handbook
• Must be able to float to alternative locations as instructed by your supervisor with short notice to ensure adequate site coverage
• Responsible for providing vital signs, interviewing the patient/family, and charting
• Collaborates with healthcare providers in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the needs of the patients and peers
• Maintains positive effective communication with providers, supervisors, and peers
• Ensures Provider’s orders are directed to the various appropriate departments
• Knowledgeable and assist Providers as requested with exams, procedures, removal of sutures, etc.
• Completes medication and DME authorizations for patients in a timely manner

Requirements

What you need to bring to this role:

• Licensed RN in good standing with the Florida Board of Nursing required
• Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in professional nursing experience preferred
• Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute Required
• Cardio Department ONLY: ACLS Certification through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Health and Safety Institute Required
• Microsoft Office Products – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint proficiency preferred
