The Staff Nurse I in the UI Health float team provides direct pediatric care across Peds, PICU and NICU, supporting rotating night shifts and weekends. The role requires strong assessment, communication, and collaboration with the care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

This position is 1.0 FTE with flex nights, located in Chicago, IL, and requires Illinois residency within 180 days of hire. Pay ranges from $37.52 to $84.22 per hour and includes competitive benefits.

Formación

• Licensed RN in Illinois.
• Current BLS/CPR and/or unit-specific certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of PEDS, PICU, and NICU experience.
• Experience working on a float team.

Responsabilidades

• Develops and updates the patient’s plan of care based on ongoing assessment and input from family.
• Collaborates with the health care team to promote effective patient care.
• Verifies and implements orders from physicians and documents in the EMR.
• Engages patients/families to educate and advocate for their care.
