Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in Illinois.
• Current BLS/CPR and/or unit-specific certifications.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience as an RN.
• Experience working in a float team.

Responsibilities

• Develops and updates the patient's plan of care based on ongoing assessment.
• Collaborates with health care team to promote effective patient care.
• Verifies and implements orders and documents in the EMR.
• Engages patients/families to develop an education plan.
• Assumes Charge Nurse duties when assigned.
• Preceptor and resource to staff and students.
