Qualifications

• Licensed as an RN in Illinois.
• Graduated from an RN degree program.
• Current BLS/CPR and/or other required certifications.
• ACLS required or within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years stepdown/telemetry experience.
• Excellent attendance and work history.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Computer skills to use EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Develops and updates the patient’s plan of care based on ongoing assessment.
• Communicates and collaborates with health care team to ensure quality care.
• Verifies orders and documents in the EHR accurately.
• Engages patients/families to educate and plan care.
• Recognizes changes and responds to patient needs.
• Mentors staff and supports unit goals; acts as Charge Nurse when assigned.
• Participates in professional growth and learning activities.
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
