Job summary

Family Guidance Centers, Inc. seeks a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support behavioral health services at our Harvey, IL location.

You will track inventories of controlled substances using electronic medical records, process physician orders, and document services in the EHR. The role requires an Illinois LPN license and CPR certification, with at least two years of hospital or agency experience.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience in hospital or agency setting.
• LPN license in Illinois and CPR certification required.
• Familiarity with EHR and medication tracking systems is expected.

Responsibilities

• Track inventories of Controlled Substances II & III using EHR technology.
• Order Controlled Substances using DEA forms and record in the system.
• Process physician orders and document services in EHR; ensure compliance of electronic signatures.
• Dispense in-clinic medication and manage take-home unit doses per policy; initiate chain of custody as needed.
• Provide Naltrexone education and administration as required.
• Document intake and discharge, and use alert system as needed.
• Support mobile medication operations and prepare meds for delivery with chain of custody documentation.

Essential Duties Tracks FGC inventories of Controlled Substances II & III using electronic & medication accounting EHR technology.

Essential Duties Tracks FGC inventories of Controlled Substances II & III using electronic & medication accounting EHR technology.

Ordering Controlled Substances using DEA Form 222/Buprenorphine order form; receiving inventory by entering data in the EHR.

Processes physicians\' orders and documents the services in EHR. Audits electronic signature requirements for compliance resolution

Accurately dispenses in-clinic medication along with unsupervised take-home medication (unit doses) per FGC policy; is responsible for initiation of FGC DEA Chain of Custody form, when applicable.

Provides Naltrexone ER (extended release suspension) education and administration services as needed.

Documents completion of required intake & discharge services and scans forms to EHR; uses alert system as needed.

Supports Mobile Medication Assisted Treatment operations to include preparing medication for FGC support staff delivery via Chain of Custody documentation.

Start Date: ASAP

Location: 15400 S. Page Ave., Harvey, IL

Pay Rate: $30.00

Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00am - 2:00pm);20 hours per week;rotating Saturdays
