Job summary

NYC Health and Hospitals seeks a Staff Nurse for the Comprehensive Emergency Psychiatry Program in Brooklyn. You will provide professional nursing care on an assigned unit, diagnose and treat health problems using diverse nursing methods, and collaborate with the health team to deliver coordinated patient care.

Responsibilities include developing and evaluating nursing regimens, documenting care plans, and maintaining nursing standards while guiding allied personnel in clinical practice.

• Determine and assign components of the nursing regimen to allied nursing personnel.
• Provide teaching, guidance, and direction to allied nursing personnel in patient care.
• Participate in defining, implementing, maintaining, and interpreting standards of nursing practice.
• Participate in departmental and interdisciplinary conferences regarding nursing practice policies.
• Maintain professional competence through participation in continuing education and learning experiences.

About This Role

The Staff Nurse in the Comprehensive Emergency Psychiatry Program provides professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit, focusing on diagnosing and treating health problems through various nursing methods and techniques.

• Pay: $112,775/year
• Location: Brooklyn, NY
• Facility: Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center
• Department/Unit: IP CPEP EOU ADULT
• Schedule: Full-Time, Day shift (7:30 A.M – 8:00 P.M)

What You'll Do

Additional Compensation

• Annual education differential based on degree in nursing or allied health discipline.
• Annual certification differential ranging from $1,878 up to $4,878 for recognized certifications.
• Annual nursing experience differential ranging from $987 up to $8,190 for up to 10 years of experience.
