Job summary

Google is seeking a Staff Network Security Engineer to lead security initiatives across the Google Enterprise Network. You will develop frameworks, conduct threat modeling, and partner with cross-functional teams to reduce risk while delivering scalable, secure network solutions.

You will drive security programs, shape roadmaps, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure safety and efficiency of GEN hardware and software systems at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience with network routing protocols, design and troubleshooting, with network equipment providers.
• Experience with planning and designing networks (e.g., multiple sites, multiple products, etc.).
• Experience with network security, network security architecture, threat modeling, security assessment and security standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop security framework, policies, standards and baselines for various infrastructures and network designs with the goal of uplifting security and reducing risks.
• Conduct threat modeling and security assessments for various product, services, and offerings to help secure them while collaborating with the teams to develop solutions to help reduce overall risks.
• Experience in developing network and software technologies, with an understanding of associated security risks to recommend risk remediation to both technical and non-technical audience.
• Lead security programs and initiatives from inception to define roadmap, milestones, and impact, with consideration of resourcing, technical issues, and risks factors.
