Google is seeking a Staff Network Security Engineer to help manage GEN network security, automation, and policy enforcement. You will partner with customers, vendors, and deployment teams to ensure secure, scalable designs.

The role emphasizes security engineering, threat modeling, and risk reduction across large-scale enterprise networks, with collaboration across multiple teams and sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years' experience with network routing protocols, design and troubleshooting with equipment providers.
• Experience planning/designing multi-site networks and security-focused architectures.
• Experience with network security architecture, threat modeling and security assessments.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and technical direction across cross-functional teams.
• Develop security framework, policies, standards and baselines for infrastructures.
• Conduct threat modeling and security assessments for products and services.
• Communicate security risks and remediation to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Lead security programs from inception to roadmap and milestones.
