Job summary

Equinix is seeking a highly skilled Staff Engineer to join the Network Platform Engineering team in Dallas. You will certify NOS, test new features, and build staging topologies for reliable deployment across multi‑vendor environments.

You will collaborate with product, engineering, operations, and observability teams to strengthen network certification pipelines and delivery velocity, leveraging automation and latest network tech.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Network Engineering and Automation.
• Hands-on routing and switching in multi‑vendor environments.
• Proficient with BGP, OSPF, IS‑IS and service provider data center networks.
• Knowledge of VXLAN, EVPN, and SR‑MPLS/SRv6.
• Experience with CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins and network automation.

Responsibilities

• Certify NOS releases and new features through tested plans.
• Build staging labs that mirror provider and DC topologies.
• Conduct interoperability, scale, and HA testing across vendors.
• Collaborate with vendors to validate fixes and hotfixes.
• Contribute to deployment playbooks and runbooks.
• Research new network technologies and evaluate vendor features.
