Equinix seeks a Senior Staff Engineer to join the Network Platform Engineering team, serving as the final gatekeeper of NOS, Fabric interconnection and new product features, and to design rigorous test methodologies, build advanced staging topologies, and validate architectures for reliability, scalability and performance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Network Engineering and Automation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering or Related Field.
• Experience with multi-vendor networks and NOS platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• NOS & feature certification: design and document test plans for NOS releases before production
• Architecture simulation: build large-scale staging environments mirroring service provider/data center topologies
• Regression/scale testing: interoperability and high-availability tests across multi-vendor environments
• Vendor liaison: coordinate with vendors to track bugs and validate hotfixes
• Production readiness: work with production teams to create deployment playbooks and rollback strategies
• Architecture research: evaluate new network technologies and assess integration feasibility before deployment
