Job summary

Nscale is seeking a Staff Network Engineer to build and bring up the networks behind our GPU clusters across Asia-Pacific. Based in Singapore, you’ll join Deployment, a build org that owns hardware arrival through customer acceptance.

This is a hands-on role at an early stage of our APAC expansion, bringing network designs into production: configuring fabrics, front-end networks, and WAN edge, and troubleshooting during bring-up.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of network engineering in large-scale data centres, cloud, or HPC.
• Experience with hyperscalers or major vendors (e.g., Microsoft, AWS, Cisco).
• Hands-on routing/switching: BGP, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN, ECMP, L2/L3.
• Experience with InfiniBand or RoCE fabrics.
• APAC data centre & carrier landscape familiarity.
• Network automation with Python/Ansible.
• Able to travel across APAC.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and validate Ethernet and InfiniBand fabrics for large GPU clusters.
• Bring up front-end, storage, and management networks and WAN edge connectivity.
• Coordinate with carriers, colocation providers, and IXPs in APAC.
• Run network acceptance testing and performance validation before handover.
• Troubleshoot routing, switching, optics, and cabling on builds.
• Apply global reference designs and feed field learnings to Network Architecture.
• Build and improve automation for provisioning, configuration, and validation.
• Partner with TPMs, Data Centre Ops, and vendors to keep builds on schedule.
• Write runbooks and docs for repeatable builds across sites.
