Job summary

The physician supports kidney replacement therapy planning, teaches fellows and students, and works with Duke University Nephrology and VA Medicine Service to advance the academic mission.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.
• Required medical license in the United States.
• Nephrology fellowship training or board eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient nephrology consults and management for hospitalized Veterans.
• Deliver outpatient nephrology care at Durham VA Medical Center and related sites.
• Coordinate dialysis and kidney replacement therapy planning and care.
• Supervise nephrology fellows, residents and students; participate in teaching.
