Job summary

OpenAI is seeking experienced Staff+ engineers with deep iOS or Android expertise to shape purchasing and subscription experiences across mobile, web, and APIs. Approximately half the work will be native mobile, with the rest across web and product APIs.

You will lead initiatives across teams and stay hands-on through delivery. Based in San Francisco with three days per week in the office, this role values technical depth, product intuition, and a track record of shipping production mobile

Qualifications

Experience at Staff level or beyond, shaping architecture and leading large initiatives across teams.
Deep expertise in iOS or Android with a track record of shipping and operating production mobile apps.
Professional experience contributing to frontend web or backend development across platforms.

Responsibilities

Architect and build purchasing and subscription experiences across native mobile, mobile web, and product APIs.
Partner with Product, Design, and Growth to identify customer needs and shape technical direction.
Improve conversion, performance, and reliability through analytics and experimentation.
Develop reusable purchasing components to enable new product launches.
Lead across exploration, design, implementation, and deployment.
