United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Staff Engineer to own the portable libraries stack used across iOS, Android and web. You will tackle systems‑level mobile libraries with Rust and C++, collaborating with peers to define technical direction and API ergonomics.

You’ll contribute hands-on code, mentor teammates, and drive architectural decisions while communicating clearly with frontend teams and stakeholders. This is a high-impact, hands-on role in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Mobile depth on iOS and Android with native-feeling libraries.
• Shipped production Rust code.
• Experience operating in ambiguous problems at staff level.
• Cross-platform fluency across runtimes and ABI boundaries.
• Clear technical communication across teams and stakeholders.
• Experience with AI in real workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the portable libraries across iOS, Android, and web.
• Write production-grade libraries in Rust and C++ for multiple runtimes.
• Collaborate with staff engineers to shape the mobile platform direction.
• Stay hands-on and code, not rely on an architecture function.
• Communicate clearly to frontend engineers using the libraries.
• Engage in technical debates and influence platform decisions.
• Act as an influential individual contributor with no direct reports.
